Why choose an outdoor activity? Perhaps you want to return home feeling as though you've achieved something. Or you know that the best way to keep the children happy is to satisfy their thirst for trying new activities.

Whatever your definition, Dullstroom offers a vast range of activities in beautiful, natural surroundings.

Experience the scenic beauty of this beautiful town on horseback and make this memory last forever. There is something about riding a horse that can never be understood by those who haven't tried. They will never know the peace of an early morning outing, with the steam gently rising off one's steed or the summer sweet smell of a horse’s breath.

Fly fishing is an angling method in which an artificial 'fly' is used to catch fish. The fly is cast using a fly rod, reel, and specialized weighted line. Casting a nearly weightless fly or 'lure' requires casting techniques significantly different from other forms of casting. Fly fishermen use hand tied flies that resemble natural invertebrates or other food organisms, or 'lures' to provoke the fish to strike.

Dullstroom affords you an incredible selection of bird watching opportunities. From manmade aviaries, to birding in the bushes, the village offers the bird watching experience of a life time. The many game and nature reserves including the Crane Group offers a huge variety of birding opportunities. Print a copy of our Bird watching checklist
